Conductor and Artistic Director, Dana Mambourg Zimbric, celebrated her fifth season with Classics for Kids this year. Noted for her fresh and creative programming, Dana has held numerous conducting posts in Wisconsin and California, most recently as Assistant Conductor of the San Diego Youth Symphony. Through her continued professional training, Dana has conducted orchestras in New York, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Puerto Rico. Her teachers include Jung-Ho Pak, Harold Farberman, Margery Deutsch, and David Becker. In 2005, she was selected to participate in a conducting masterclass with Otto-Werner Mueller sponsored by the San Diego Symphony. An accomplished clarinetist, Dana holds a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance and a Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting from the University of Wisconsin.
