Lions, Tigers, Bears, and more!
Join Classics 4 Kids, the San Diego Zoo and Malashock Dance, in a program inspired by mammals.  Malashock Dance presents Poulenc’s Story of Babar the Little Elephant with their unique style of athletic modern choreography. The San Diego Zoo’s own Dr. Zoolittle will join us to share life science facts about famous animals, while our orchestra performs music by Haydn, Vivaldi, Saint-Saens and others.

March 8th & 9th ,2018

“From Bach to Rock”:
Classics 4 Kids partners with San Diego Baroque Soloists for this awesome concert that links music of JS Bach to the music of today. Featuring special guest musicians playing instruments from the 1600’s, this concert will cover a range of fun topics, such as the technology behind Baroque instruments, and the similarities of music from then and now. Mr. Bach makes an appearance to show how his music can really rock.

Aloha Friends:
Classics 4 Kids teams up with ukulele stars Sarah Maisel and Craig Chee to share music, stories, and culture of the islands. With special Hawaiian dance guests, this concert focuses on the uniquely versatile ukulele, music from Disney’s Moana and other music inspired by Hawaii and island culture. Leave your surfboard at home, but don’t miss this exciting season conclusion.

Together we will explore the connection between visual art and music. Featuring a professional artist, images of famous art works, and amazing music,
this interactive concert brings art to life.

St. Patrick’s’ Day Celebration

With rich musical traditions like the jig and fiddle tunes, Irish songs, and culture, this thrilling concert is the perfect way for your school to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Wear your green and come celebrate with us!

Oceans Ahoy!
May 18, 19, 2017- 9:30 & 11:30 a.m.

This is a photo of a clown fish underwater on a scuba diving ecotourism adventureCalling all pirates, sailors, and scientists! Come join the Classics Philharmonic and our partners from WILDCOAST on a journey to the sea. We will explore classical music written about our beautiful oceans and waterways, including Bruce Adolphe’s Oceanophony, discuss ocean conservation and view some of the most remarkable images from under-the-sea.  This concert will also highlight young musicians from Crown Point Junior Music Academy. Leave the snorkel and swimsuit at home, but don’t miss this STEAM connection season finale.
