Classics 4 Kids Presents
2017-2018 Concert Season!

Lions, Tigers, Bears, and more! –
Tuesday November 7th and Thursday November 9th, 2017
Concerts at 9:30 & 11:30 a.m.

Join Classics 4 Kids, the San Diego Zoo and Malashock Dance, in a program inspired by mammals.  Malashock Dance presents Poulenc’s Story of Babar the Little Elephant with their unique style of athletic modern choreography. The San Diego Zoo’s own Dr. Zoolittle will join us to share life science facts about famous animals, while our orchestra performs music by Haydn, Vivaldi, Saint-Saens and others.

From Bach To Rock – March 8th-9th, 2018 Concerts at 9:30 & 11:30 a.m.
Classics 4 Kids partners with San Diego Baroque Soloists for this awesome concert that links music of JS Bach to the music of today. Featuring special guest musicians playing instruments from the 1600’s, this concert will cover a range of fun topics, such as the technology behind Baroque instruments, and the similarities of music from then and now. Mr. Bach makes an appearance to show how his music can really rock.

Aloha Friends – May 31st-June 1st, 2018 Concerts at 9:30 & 11:30 a.m.
Classics 4 Kids teams up with ukulele stars Sarah Maisel and Craig Chee to share music, stories, and culture of the islands. With special Hawaiian dance guests, this concert focuses on the uniquely versatile ukulele, music from Disney’s Moana and other music inspired by Hawaii and island culture. Leave your surfboard at home, but don’t miss this exciting season conclusion.

  • Docent Visits: Advocates for Classical Music (AFCM) offer docent visits at your school site approximately two weeks before your concert date. These 45-60 minute presentations are fun and informative, extending the educational value.
