Where does Classics for Kids get the money…
- To produce and present the best orchestra concerts for children in San Diego?
- To provide access to the music of the great classical composers to nearly 30,000 children in San Diego County?
- To make it possible for a 6-year old to hear the sound of a bassoon or French Horn for the first time?
Less than half of Classics for Kids operating costs come from ticket sales. For the rest, we must rely upon our generous donors- people who contribute between $25 and $2,000 a year. (Those who are able to give more- from $2,000 up to $25,000 are invited to become Sponsors of Classics for Kids).
Contributions enable Classics for Kids to present outstanding concerts at professional theatres around San Diego County, offer standards-based lesson plans to teachers, docent visits through a partnership with the Advocates for Classical Music, and to nurture new audiences through our extensive education program.
All contributions are tax deductible. In addition, many corporations match charitable contributions, which can double the size of your gift.
