2011-2012 Concert Series
In the 2011-2012 Season, Conductor Dana Mambourg Zimbric returns to lead you through an exploration of The ABC’s of Musical Literacy at the Balboa Theatre. Children become familiar with the instruments of the orchestra, learn how music is made, and how music comes together in all sorts of ways. This interactive and entertaining season is sure to delight music lovers of all ages!

Ellington's Nutcracker
Experience the transformation of Tchaikovsky's classical ballet into a swinging jazz masterpiece by legendary composer and bandleader Duke Ellington and arranger Billy Strayhorn. Join the Classics Philharmonic and guests from Malashock Dance as they infuse the famous tale with rhythm, style, and a whole lot of jazz.
